                           Office of the Village Clerk

The Clerk is one of several elected positions in the Village. Reporting directly to the Council, the Village Clerk serves as the Clerk of Record, insuring that all important documents are appropriately received, signed and filed.   The Clerk has many other duties, including:

  • Giving notice of all Council and Committee meetings to its members and to the public, and  maintains an accurate record of all Council proceedings;
  • Maintaining custody of the Village’s vital records including agreements, contracts, ordinances, proclamations, and resolutions;
  • Co-ordinates informational packets for Council meetings, and provides support for all Village Committees and Commissions.
